Mindset: The New Psychology of Success

Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset

People who believe their talents can be developed through hard work, good strategies, and input from others, have a growth mindset. This collaborative approach to developing and learning allows for constant letting go of prior experiences and you are more willing to try something new.  This is because they worry less about looking smart and they put more energy into learning. They tend to achieve more than those with a more fixed mindset.  Those that have a fixed mindset, believe their talents are innate gifts.

As a school community we are focusing on the Growth Mindset as a means to foster stronger work relationships and with the strength of this community, we are able to give our students a greater sense of belonging with the hopes of ultimately increasing student achievement.  When entire companies embrace a growth mindset, their employees report feeling far more empowered and committed; they also receive far greater organizational support for collaboration and innovation.

Looking forward to collaborating and digging deeper into this text with you all!
